Sculptus Poe remembers some words 001

Here is the tagalog I'v learned so far

tagalog alam ko: (i think that means "tagalog i know" whether or not that is an appropriate title to begin a list of tagalog that i know... hindi ko alam.)

i'll start with words i know.. or think i know.. if i am wrong please comment to fix my errors(i probably wont look up spelling... though i may...but if it's spelled wrong fix me too). salamat

oo - yes, afirmative
hindi - no, negitive
salamat - thank you
manga - a pluraliser (?)
bastos - lewd nasty (a cussword somewhat)
pero - however (?)(i think iv heard it used)
bakla- gay
ko - pertaining to me
alam - know
ang - it is(?)(that is probably wrong ...ang hindi... xD what did i just say? probably not "it is wrong" as i ment it to mean ... even if i am right about ang.. it probably means "it is no" which makes no sense)

some nouns:
babae - woman
fillipino - a fillipino dude or something related to the phillipines or the official language of the phillipines(masculin( is that spelled right? perhaps sculptus poe should learn english))
fillipina - like a fillipino...but a chick
balisong - butterfly knife
barong tagalog - fillipino dress shirt
tinikling - a dance somewhat akin to double dutch but instead of ropes two people try to smash your feet with two parallel bamboo poles... mostfun
adobo - most awsome foodstuff . half vinegar half soy sauce to cover chicken half cup brown sugar bay leaves couple sections of garlic black pepper. boil slowly untill the liquid goes below the chicken level and add water to keep the chicken (or whatever meat) covered. cook untill chicken comes easily off the bones. keep covered over night to let the juices sink in(don't refrigerate) heat up and serve over rice.(recipee stolen (and perhaps somewhat mis-remembered) from jimmy madriaga sr. master of fillipino cuisine)

some phrases:

Hindi ko alam - i don't know
alam ko - i know

and that concludes the racking of Sculptus Poe's brain for this session, come back tomorro when Sculptus Poe asks "what is the true meaning of 'bading ka'?"
